Our mission
Mission Statement
To put God's Word within reach of everyone, every day: free, faithful to Scripture and easy to understand, so that each person can know God, grow in His grace and live His Word, one day at a time.
Grace for today. Our Faith Tomorrow.
Why Daily Grace exists
Most of us mean to read the Bible more, and most days life gets there first. Daily Grace is here so that no one has to go through a day without a word from God. Everything in the app serves one of three purposes.
-
Read
Put the whole Bible in every pocket: a verse for each day, a weekly flipbook, stories and search, ready in the few spare minutes you already have.
-
Understand
Open up the Bible's books, people, prayers, songs, miracles and commandments in plain words, so that Scripture feels less like an old book and more like a letter written to you.
-
Live
Carry God's Word into ordinary life: at work, at home and in hard moments, with a step to take today and verses kept close for when you need them most.
Our faith values
These are the convictions that shape every page of Daily Grace, each with the Scripture it rests on.
-
Scripture first
We believe the Bible is God's Word. It speaks for itself, so we let it: every verse is quoted word for word, and our own explanations are always marked as ours.
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
2 Timothy 3:16 -
Jesus at the centre
The whole Bible points to Jesus Christ. The stories, the law, the songs and the prophecies all lead to Him, and we want every reader to meet Him there.
I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
John 14:6 -
Saved by grace
God's love is a gift, not a wage. We don't read the Bible to earn His favour but because He has already given it, freely, through faith in Christ.
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Ephesians 2:8 -
New every morning
Faith grows through small things done faithfully, day after day. That is why we're called Daily Grace: God's mercy is fresh each morning, and so is His Word.
They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
Lamentations 3:23 -
Freely given
God's Word should never sit behind a paywall. Daily Grace is free for everyone: no subscription, nothing to unlock, no strings attached.
freely ye have received, freely give.
Matthew 10:8 -
Open to everyone
The new believer and the lifelong Christian, the busy parent, the student and the grandparent, and anyone simply curious: all are welcome here.
And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.
Revelation 22:17 -
Truth in love
Where faithful Christians read a passage differently, we say so honestly and gently, and keep to what the churches share. We want to unite readers around the Word, not divide them.
But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:
Ephesians 4:15 -
Doers of the Word
Reading is the beginning, not the end. We want God's Word to change how we love, work, speak and forgive, so every study ends with how to live it today.
But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
James 1:22
Our promises to you
- Accurate Scripture. Scripture is quoted from the King James Bible, and the study pages check every quotation word for word against it before it is published.
- Our words, clearly marked. Reflections, plain-English retellings and prayers we have written are labelled as ours, so they are never mistaken for the Bible.
- Free, always. No subscription and no paywall, for every reader.
- Your reading stays yours. The verses and sayings you bookmark are kept on your own device.
- Welcoming to every church. We point to the Bible, not to a denomination, and we treat other traditions with respect.
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
Psalm 119:105
Our hope for you
We hope Daily Grace becomes a faithful companion that encourages you, teaches you and draws you closer to God, one day at a time.
