Rest in God
Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him cometh my salvation. He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved.
Psalm 62:1-2 (KJV)
Reflection
Today's Scripture gives us strong and practical hope. Our soul finds peace when we stop striving to save ourselves. We can rest in God as our rescue, rock, and safe defense.
This does not mean we should become passive. It calls us to trust God, use wisdom, and act with obedience. We can do our part while leaving the results in His hands.
Today, pause for a few minutes and breathe slowly. Repeat this verse and release the need to control everything. Notice how your heart responds as you trust God.
Keep this verse close when the day becomes noisy. Let it correct anxious thoughts and strengthen your courage. God is faithful, and you can trust Him with what you cannot yet see.
To consider
What are you trying to control that you can release as you rest in God?
Prayer
God, You alone are my rock and my salvation. I stop striving to save myself and rest in You, trusting You with what I cannot yet see. Amen.
