The joy of the Lord
Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the Lord is your strength.
Nehemiah 8:10 (KJV)
Reflection
Today's verse reminds us that God's joy is deeper than a passing mood. His joy is rooted in His goodness, presence, and restoring love.
We do not need to ignore difficulties or pretend everything is fine. Instead, we can trust God's faithful care even when circumstances remain unfinished.
Today, remember one way God has been faithful. Let that memory strengthen you, and share that encouragement through kindness and practical help.
Joy becomes strength when we receive it from God and share it with others. When pressure rises, return to His promise and let His grace guide your thoughts and decisions.
To consider
What memory of God's faithfulness can strengthen you today?
Prayer
Lord, Your joy is my strength. Remind me of Your faithfulness, and help me share that encouragement with someone through kindness today. Amen.
