Listen for His direction

And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it.

Isaiah 30:21 (KJV)

Reflection

Guidance is difficult to hear when every voice is loud and the heart is rushing. Isaiah offers the image of God's steady direction meeting us at the point of decision: This is the way, walk in it. His leading is consistent with His Word, His character, and the wisdom He provides through prayer and mature counsel. Pause today before reacting. Quiet the pressure to decide from fear, pride, or impatience. Ask God to make the faithful path clear and to give you courage to walk it. Sometimes direction comes as a strong conviction; sometimes it emerges through patient attention and small obedient steps. Do not confuse urgency with guidance. The Lord is able to lead a listening heart. When the path divides, stay near Him, remain teachable, and follow the way that reflects truth, love, and integrity.

To consider

Where are you tempted to confuse urgency with God's guidance?

Prayer

Lord, quiet the pressure in me to decide from fear or impatience. Make the faithful way clear, and give me courage to walk in it. Amen.
